O’Connor joined the Indiana philosophy faculty in 1993 and was named to his present position in 2005. After post-doctoral research at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. He went on to study at Cornell University on a Susan Linn Sage Fellowship and received a PhD in philosophy in 1992. He is an honors graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in philosophy. Timothy O’Connor is a Professor of Philosophy at Indiana University Bloomington.Īt Indiana, O’Connor is a member of its large and distinguished cognitive sciences program, recently served as chair of its department of philosophy, and has won several awards for both teaching and research excellence.
